About Pathways to Purpose

Pathways to Purpose envisions a future where justice-involved individuals are empowered to reclaim their lives through education, peer support, and purposeful community engagement—transforming barriers into bridges toward healing, dignity, and opportunity.

At Pathways to Purpose, we are dedicated to aiding justice-involved individuals through our flagship initiative. Led by Marquitta Brown, a credentialed Recovery Support Peer Specialist, our aim is to foster healing and transformation via connection. We offer a range of services including GED preparation, career coaching, life skills development, and peer-led support circles, targeting individuals aged 17 and older who are on probation or parole. Our program emphasizes flexible scheduling and accessible community settings, empowering clients to achieve education, employment, and emotional wellness.

Work with Probation/Parole

We work collaboratively with probation and parole offices to support participants in meeting their justice-related stipulations through consistent communication, shared accountability, and trauma-informed care. By serving as a bridge between the justice system and recovery services, we help ensure that participants understand their obligations, attend required appointments, and access supportive programming that aligns with their legal and personal goals. Our team provides documentation, progress updates, and advocacy when appropriate, reinforcing a strengths-based approach that emphasizes personal growth, compliance, and long-term stability. This partnership not only promotes successful reentry but also fosters trust and transparency across systems.
